The Best Kartra Alternatives in 2026 (And the One I Actually Use)
Most “best alternatives” pages are a list of nine tools the writer has never opened, ranked by whichever one pays the most.
This one is shorter than that, and narrower on purpose.
The short answer: Systeme.io. It starts free, its paid plans run $17 to $97 a month against Kartra’s $59 to $549, it charges no transaction fees, and it has built the AI integration Kartra hasn’t. That’s what I run my own business on.
Unified
One contact database under pages, email, checkout, courses and affiliates. No relay to break at 2am.
Checkout
Order bumps, one-click upsells, downsells, subscriptions, sales tax and EU VAT.
Stability
Running for years at serious launch volume. It does not fall over.
Automations
Behavioural sequences and tagging are real — but they start on the $229 plan.
Value
The advertised entry is $59. The plan most people actually need is $229.
AI
A metered writing assistant, but no first-party MCP for AI assistants to drive it.
The longer answer is what Kartra still does well, what I can’t tell you, and which one to pick.

Why People Leave Kartra (Or Never Join)
Four reasons, and every one is checkable on Kartra’s own pages.
1. Automation starts at $229/month
Behavioural sequences and tagging — the single reason most people buy an all-in-one — do not exist on the $59 plan or the $119 plan. They begin at Growth, $229/month. So do affiliate management and the helpdesk.
Kartra’s own pricing page labels that plan “Best For: Established businesses scaling with automations.” They’re not hiding it. People just don’t read the table.
2. The entry plan takes 5% of your sales
Sell $5,000 in a month on Kartra Essentials and you’ve paid $250 in transaction fees — more than the next plan up costs outright, and that one has no fee at all.
The cheap plan is only cheap while you aren’t selling anything.
3. The webinars quietly left
As of 20 August 2026: Kartra’s webinar feature page redirects to pricing. Their own blog guide, “Beginner’s Guide to Kartra: Webinars,” also redirects. Webinars appear on no plan in the current feature table — while the Starter plan description still says “Unlock additional features, including Webinars.”
4. The integration they didn’t build
Kartra has an AI writing assistant, metered by plan. What it doesn’t have is a first-party MCP server — the standard that lets an AI assistant operate the platform for you. The Kartra MCP that exists is brokered by Zapier and needs a separate paid account.
A Zapier wrapper is not an MCP. It’s a complicated workaround.
The Best Kartra Alternative: Systeme.io
This is what I moved my own business to, and what I’d put a new business on today.
Here’s what the two charge, side by side, from Systeme’s pricing page and Kartra’s, both read on 20 August 2026:
| Systeme.io | Kartra | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry paid plan | $17 — 5,000 contacts, unlimited funnels | $59 — 500 contacts, no automations |
| Mid plan | $47 — 10,000 contacts, automated webinars | $119 — 2,500 contacts, still no automations |
| Automations from | $17 | $229 |
| Everything, unlimited | $97 | $549 |
| Transaction fees | 0% on every plan | 5% on the entry plan |
| Automated webinars | From $47 | Not on any plan |
| First-party MCP | Yes | No — Zapier wrapper only |
Three things follow from that table, and they’re the whole argument.
Systeme’s $17 plan automates. Kartra’s $119 plan does not. That’s not a feature-preference argument you settle on taste. It’s the core reason people buy an all-in-one, available at one-seventh the price.
Systeme charges nothing on your sales. Kartra takes 5% on its entry tier. On $60,000 of annual revenue that difference alone is $3,000.
Systeme’s $47 plan includes automated webinars — the exact feature whose pages have just come down on Kartra’s site.
The Money, Worked Out
Price the real product on both sides — the cheapest plan that actually automates:
| Cheapest plan that automates | One year | |
|---|---|---|
| Kartra Growth | $229/mo | $2,748 |
| Kartra Growth (annual billing) | $189/mo | $2,268 |
| Systeme.io Startup | $17/mo | $204 |
| Systeme.io Webinar | $47/mo | $564 |
| Systeme.io Unlimited | $97/mo | $1,164 |
Systeme’s top plan — unlimited everything — costs less than half of Kartra’s cheapest automating plan. And the $47 tier, which most people I’d send here should be on, does the job for a quarter of it and includes the webinars Kartra dropped.
What You Give Up
I’d rather you hear this here than discover it in month two.
- Kartra’s checkout is deeper. Order bumps, one-click upsells, downsells and EU VAT handling are more sophisticated on Kartra’s side.
- Kartra has more years under heavy launch load. It has carried nine-figure launches.
- Automation rule counts are tiered on Systeme. Unlimited arrives at $97.

Where Kartra Is Genuinely Stronger
Three things, and if you need them, $229 a month is defensible money.
The checkout. Order bumps, one-click upsells, downsells, subscriptions, multi-SKU carts, and proper sales tax and EU VAT handling. If your business runs on a sophisticated order form — if a checkout failure costs you five figures in an afternoon — this is the strongest argument for staying.
Stability at volume. Kartra has been running since long before most of its competitors, and it does not fall over on launch day. “The Plan,” Dan Hollings’ product launched by Jason Fladlien’s team at Rapid Crush, did over $50 million — and that launch ran on Kartra.
The affiliate manager. Commission tiers, JV brokers, second-tier commissions, earnings-per-click reporting. Better than most standalone affiliate software. It just isn’t available below $229 a month.
Kartra vs ClickFunnels
The other name people weigh against Kartra, and Kartra names it as a direct competitor on its own comparison page — so they’re chasing the same buyer.
ClickFunnels wins on ecosystem: a bigger brand, a far larger community, more third-party templates and training, and genuinely excellent funnel building. Kartra wins on completeness: memberships, helpdesk, calendars, video and affiliate management are native rather than add-ons.
Neither ships a first-party MCP.

Groove and Scale.gg — The Ones I’d Steer You Away From
I’m not neutral here, and you should know exactly why.
I wrote the first review of GrooveFunnels. I ranked #1 and #2 on Google for that term through the summer of 2020. I made over $100,000 promoting it.
I don’t recommend it any more. Scale.gg, the platform that followed it, I consider buggy.
That’s the most expensive lesson in this article and I’m handing it to you free: I left a platform that was working for me because a newer one promised more. It’s why the recommendation on this page is a tool I’ve been running my own business on, not the most exciting thing I could find.

Who Should Ignore This Page
You’re already on Kartra and it’s working. Stay. Migration eats weeks, your funnels and members and payment history all have to move, and the platform does the job. I earn nothing by telling you that, which is exactly why I’m telling you.
Your checkout is the business. Launches with bumps, downsells, multi-SKU carts and EU VAT, where an order-form failure costs five figures. Kartra’s checkout is deeper. Pay the $229.
You need the affiliate manager specifically. Commission tiers, JV brokers and second-tier payouts in one system are worth real money if partners drive your growth.

⚙️ Features & Fit
Which alternatives include webinars?
Systeme.io from $47/month. Kartra no longer lists webinars on any plan.

They belong in this conversation and each deserves a properly researched head-to-head rather than a paragraph written from memory. They’re getting one.
So Which One Should You Pick?
Let me give it to you cleanly.
✅ Starting fresh, watching the budget, want automation from day one — Systeme.io Startup ($17/mo). It does the thing Kartra charges $229 for.
🚀 You need webinars too — Systeme.io Webinar ($47/mo). Automations and automated webinars, for a quarter of what Kartra’s automating plan costs and including a feature Kartra dropped.
✅ You want everything with no caps — Systeme.io Unlimited ($97/mo). Still less than half of Kartra Growth.
⚠️ Your checkout is your business — stay with Kartra Growth ($229/mo). The order form is genuinely deeper and it has the launch-day track record.
❌ You’re already on Kartra and it works — change nothing.
The Best First Step
Don’t migrate anything this week. Open a Systeme.io Startup plan for $17 and rebuild one funnel in it — your simplest one, the one you know by heart.
You’ll know inside an hour whether the platform fits the way you think. Seventeen dollars is a cheap answer to a $2,748 question, and if the answer is no, you’ve lost the price of lunch and learned something worth far more.
Stop paying $229 a month for features you’re not using. Start on the plan that does the job.
